The hostess was rude. The server didn't listen, didn't replenish fluids enough, seemed like he'd never served a table a day in his life. The restaurant had run out of things on the menu before peak time on Saturday-- well, that is, if there is a peak time at this place. I arrived at 7:30 PM on Saturday to find five tables in various stages of dinner. By the time I finally got out of the restaurant-- way past the time I wanted to get out-- almost two hours later-- not a single person was there. Why did everything take so long, from getting a beverage (not even a cocktail) to getting out when the place was near desolate? I wish I hadn't gone. The food was good but definitely not good enough to go again and face that service. It did strike me that it wasn't homemade by bought through something like Sysco and from Sysco's Comfort Food section. Do not go to this place.

Everyone who work there didn't seem to know what was going on and could not answer any of our questions. Did not know what drinks they had, did not have a drink menu, did not give steak knives, had no appetizers, salads, or desserts on Dinner menu

From Our Editors

Built in 1905, the Addison Building is a great example of architecture—in more ways than one. The throwback setting is home to Addison Eatery, where chefs build expert meals that they describe as "American cuisine with a twist." The feast begins at breakfast, when fried chicken wings crown belgian waffles and housemade corned beef accompanies hash. After breakfast, chefs turn their focus to entrees such as cast-iron mac and cheese, which they melt with béchamel and aged cheddar, and cooked-to-order Addison burgers, which includes a special patty stuffed with swiss cheese.
