About Window Genie
Window Genie of West Atlanta restores sullied residences to spotless states with a comprehensive array of cleaning services. The company’s technicians absolve windows of dirt and smudges by hand, employing squeegees to polish out-of-reach panes and gloves to catch pies catapulted from warring neighbors’ backyards. Windows also benefit from an optically clear tint technicians can apply in a variety of shades to repel incoming UV rays and protect interiors from fading, heat, and glare.
Window Genie of West Atlanta’s crews further de-grime homes with deck cleaning, deck sealing, pressure-washing services, and gutter cleaning.

The main issue for me is that I didn't get what I understood I was paying for.
I have had some work done on my house, and as a result some paint overspray got on some of the windows. This was the primary reason why I got the window service.
The Groupon specifically mentions "specially designed scrapers" as one of the tools that are used for cleaning, and I have seen tools like that used to remove paint from windows, so I thought it was a perfect fit for my needs.
The owner of the West Atlanta team (Carlos) came to my house to give an estimate. After looking everything over, he gave me an estimate of how much additional it would be. At no time did he ever mention that it would be extra (or a different service) to remove the paint spray.
I paid the invoice, and the team did the work. After they left I asked my wife about the work, and she said that the windows looked great - except for the paint spray that was left on them.
I contacted Carlos again, and he sent me a disclaimer that states that only "organic" based debris would be removed, and that synthetic (in my case - paint) materials would be an additional service.
I reviewed the Groupon, the Window Genie of West Atlanta website, the estimate I was given, every email and text that was sent to me, and I was unable to find that information anywhere. He said that he had not noticed the paint when he did my estimate, even though it is on many of the windows.
On the positive side, Carlos was very professional throughout our interaction. His team was very friendly, on time, and responsive.
The work that was done was good, but there is a large gap between my understanding of what would be done (based on all the information made available to me) and what actually was done. Had I known in advance that scraping the paint off of the windows was not included, I would not have had the work done. I now have 20 windows that have very clean paint on them.
I will not say that I wouldn't recommend Window Genie to anyone, but I would encourage anyone interested in this Groupon or their services to ask as many questions as possible just to make sure that you are getting what you think you are paying for.
I will not be using Window Genie's services again, and feel like I just wasted a couple hundred dollars.

Jonathan, good evening and thank you [again] for your candid and sincere feedback. I agree and concur with your recommendation of understanding what you are paying for. Furthermore, sharing expectations with your service providers is critical as well. I failed to mention paint removal as a separate and independent service for three reasons. One, from the 3-minute lap I took around the home to count the windows and screens. I could not clearly or definitively see paint on the glass surfaces of your windows. Two, addressing paint of the glass was not mentioned when I asked [wife], "Are there any particular concerns or trouble areas that I need to be aware of?" And finally, paint removal is traditionally not understood as being included with basic window cleaning services. It would be difficult to find a professional window cleaning company who would infer that paint removal is routine or a widely accepted understanding of window cleaning.
My primary take-away from our interaction is providing each window cleaning customer with a printed, physical copy of my service disclaimers during each on-site, in-person consult. Although this document is available digitally, I think it's prudent to provide it directly. Along with an emphasis on paint removal, construction debris, caulking, or any other non-organic materials from glass surfaces, as a separate and independent service.
I will close by thanking you for pointing out my professionalism, and and the clean windows my Technicians providing you. As a small business owner, I am not immune to misunderstanding or lost translations. My growth is daily; and this interaction has triggered Operational change.
I would also ask you not discard the possibility of allowing Window Genie to service your home in the future. Window cleaning is one of a dozen services we proudly offer to residential and light commercial clients.
