In 1939, Eddie Gall opened a small tavern on the western end of Downers Grove, serving ham sandwiches prepared from freshly baked bone in hams. The family tradition started then and continued for 68 years at the Belmont Road location with an expanded building; now the tradition continues at our new building at 440 Ogden Avenue. Cafe seating is available, overlooking our 2000 square foot display kitchens. Great food and value packaged for you to take home, The Gall family tradition continues with the same simple premise; fresh food prepared with care, prompt and courteous service with a smile.
