I only write this wishing to help. Sushi City had a fishy smell when you walk in the door -- generally not what I want to smell at a sushi place. It should smell fresh. The sushi also tasted a bit less fresh. The presentation was good, but the freshness was not. This can not happen at a sushi place. When I went back to work, someone asked me where I went and I told them. Immediately they said, "Oh, I don't like that place, it's doesn't smell fresh. That scares me." You must fix this issue, (real or not) or people wont come back. Only one other person ate lunch when I was there. The nice waitress asked me how everything was, and I said, "fine," because I didn't want to get into it.

I wanted to like Sushi City. What made it difficult was a) poor ambience (including tea lights on every table, unlit), b) a somber waitress, and c) a sushi chef who sneezed 3 times while making our sushi, then blew his nose, walked past the sink into the back (where I PRAY he washed his hands). People are picky with sushi - there is raw fish involved so the standards for cleanliness and hygienic practices are especially high. With so many other options out there, it makes sense to choose one that seems super-clean.
