About Lucky Chicken

Latin food is pretty well tread in the U.S. by now, but Lucky Chicken is serving up a lesser known cuisine: Peruvian food. Bringing together Latin American ingredients in a cozy and inviting atmosphere with Spanish, African, Italian, and Japanese inspirations, the large menu showcases many of Peru's most traditional recipes. There are six types of ceviche, including ceviche mixto, a raw seafood dish with lots of bright citrus; the popular lomo saltado, strips of wok-sautéed beef and tomatoes served over rice; Peruvian paellas, yucas huancaina, golden jalea, and the restaurant's namesake chicken, a cage- and hormone-free rotisserie chicken marinated in a secret family recipe and charcoal-cooked.

Food was good, very similar to Alpaca but more expensive. Keep an eye on your receipt, they charge 15% table fee and 3% kitchen fee. Once you swipe your card it’ll still ask you for a tip on top of the whole total. Really felt like we were being tricked, not planning on coming back.

The service was great- the server ha sbeen there for a long time and super friendly. The food sucked! The bags were straight from the can, no salt or flavor. The maduro was rotten. The menus states two eggs but you only get because "the price of eggs went up." The chicken was mediocre, and the lomo steak was hard. Groupon or not, NOT worth it. Stick with Alpaca!

The food was wonderful. The waitress was on point. Everything that I had the empanadas and the tamales was really good
