Cinema Village, New York

When you step into Cinema Village, there's a real sense that you're stepping into a piece of New York history. After all, this is the oldest continuously-operating cinema in Greenwich Village, built in 1963 atop the bones of a turn-of-the-century fire station. Today, the three auditoriums show movies of all kinds, including indie features, carefully-selected major releases, and cult-classics—all projected with Dolby Digital sound on 35-mm, 16-mm, or digital formats.
