Back in 2009, Jenn Harris was a corporate climber just starting out on her career. But her plans hit a snag when her supervisor forbade her from attending an upcoming golf tournament—a prime opportunity to network with clients in a relaxed environment. But thanks to her persistence, the client himself invited her to the links, and she realized that playing and understanding golf was probably a barrier to many of her fellow career women.
