If you know nothing more about the Elizabethan era than its penchant for strange spellings, then perhaps its time to head over to Olde Tyme Productions' Spring Escondido Renaissance Faire. Dedicated to education, the lively festival seeks to bring the England of yesteryear to light in California.

During the fair, minstrels strum, swordsman joust, and vendors gather to sell their hand-crafted wares. Meanwhile, actors dressed up in old-timey attire add color to the day, shouting words such as "Huzzah!" and raising mugs of mead to the sky.
