Some parts of the river feel completely removed from the city, and yet it's accessible by subway. Well worth the visit.

It was a great experience and great staff that are friendly and knowledgeable! Just a shame the Humber River is so polluted and all the dead salmon floating about the shallow parts.

All the staff were very friendly. The canoe was clean and in working order. There is a cement ledge at the water, so you can board the canoe without wearing rubber boots in colder weather. No one offered to carry our canoe down to the water, but we were capable. They did offer to carry it from the water back to the main area. The walk back is on a bumpy incline, so it's a bit awkward. The canoe journey was lovely, as long as you don't look down at the water. Yes, the water is mostly muddy/brown coloured. Many areas are shallow, and you can often touch your paddle to the bottom. We really enjoyed the beautiful fall colours of the trees. We saw some people fishing, and a large fish jumping on the end of their line. We saw many herons. It is fall, so you probably can see more animals in the summer. Unfortunately, we did encounter some pretty gross looking pieces of garbage along our journey. I suppose the many storm drains don't help with this issue. We had no trouble with paddling back upstream. We were happy to find a port-a-potty upon our return. I think we will go again, but avoid looking down at the water.

The guy was informative about the water being shallow but could of given more help on getting around the shallow parts. Also he could of helped us to carry the canoe. Basically it was a you paid and here is the canoe. That is it.

Well they said in the Groupon they they will guide newbies. That's totally untrue. Me and my wife went to our very first canoeing adventure and we told them so. We were just pointed to the canoes lying over and told to just pickup whichever we like and go. An let me tell you, it wasn't a pleasant experience anymore. This might be good only for experienced people.

Staff were friendly and transaction was quick. Canoeing in the city. This is as close to nature as you can get in the concrete jungle! Very relaxing. Recommend!
