Nakashima is a popular Japanese surname, but Babel Bar & Lounge visitors might assume it translates to "lots of flavor in a tiny space." That's because the bar's Nakashima roll encompasses 11 ingredients, including yellowtail, spinach, cream cheese, and jalapeño. The pepper reappears in Babel's Devil's Breath roll, a fiery medley of spicy tuna, sriracha, and jalapeño masago.

Though sushi dominates the Babel menu, cooks make a few alternatives for non-sushi eaters, including egg-drop soup and kale chips. Handmade cocktails pair perfectly with the bar's eats, as well as the cozy, exposed-brick space's entertainment, such as open-mic nights and live music every Thursday–Saturday.
