Penlar Pharmacy, Lawrenceville

Originally a simple pharmacy established in 1987, Penlar Pharmacy expanded in 1998 to include more than 100 vendor lines. Penlar went through a complete renovation in late 2011, revamping the decor and upgrading their computers to a new state-of-the-art system. Its goods range from Hallmark cards and gift items to balloons, plush animals from Britto, Melissa & Doug, and Mary Meyer. Penlar also carries a selection of cosmetic products, over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and medical equipment. In order to adapt to evolving times, Penlar added two other advancements in 2004—online prescription refills and prescription delivery. Despite the growth, it still operates by its original motto: “Your doctor knows your name, why shouldn’t your pharmacist?”
