I never had a bad meal there. Delicious pizza and antipasto. Also, the gluten free pizza is really good, too.

they say no GMO's but they really have no idea what a GMO is if they are serving coke products (high fructose corn syrup), any cheese - if not organic - is GMO because the animals are being fed GMO feed/alfalfa. Also, the word "natural" doesn't mean anything! Natural meat may mean no steroids or anti-biotics but they are still feeding the animals GMO feed/alfalfa if it's not ORGANIC! Good luck.

Food was great! My husband thought it was better than "New Haven" pizza. BYO wine and beer is also a nice cost saving benefit. Will be back!

Eating area seemed cramped, especially if it's at capacity and people need to wait. Very awkward to watch people waiting for takeout, fumbling around in the foyer area. We will be back because the pizza was good and the location is near our soccer practice (Tunxis Mead). Suggestion: put flyers on cars at Tunxis Mead on Fri afternoon (5pm) and Saturday morning if you want to reach a gazillion young families with gobs of kids. Do a little more for kids (give them special drinks or small, inexpensive desserts) and parents will come back after every practice/game.

From Our Editors

The owners of Vero Pizza chose the name vero, meaning "true" or "real", to reflect their food philosophy. Each pizza, salad, and panini sandwich is prepared with locally farmed produce, all-natural meats, unbleached flours, and artisan-baked breads. Diners may split specialty pizzas such as the Picante with buffalo chicken, blue cheese, and celery while sipping a glass of wine or beer brought from home.
