1.What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition? Dr. Smart Phones is a nationwide certified device repair center. We specialize in Cell Phones, Tablets, Computers, and Game System repairs. All of our repairs are backed by our Dr. Smart Phones lifetime parts warranty. Unlike our competition, we also sell certified pre-owned cellular phones and tablets.

2. What was the inspiration to start or run this business? We have been in the refurbishing business since 1995 refurbishing pagers back in the day. In 2010 we started refurbishing phones for large corporations and government programs. We had many request to help out individuals and thus Dr. Smart Phones retail stores were born in 2012.

3. What do you love most about your job? We love to help people get back to life. Nothing is more frustrating than cutting your fingers on some broken glass.

5. What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer? In 2013, a father asked if we could fix his water damaged phone. He was in tears because he lost his son in Afghanistan and his phone had his sons last text to him that said “I love you dad”. This was the most touching reaction we ever had in our store. We are happy to help our vets and we salute them.

The person assisting with our phone repair was friendly and helpful. However, he asked to see the voucher and needed take my working phone to the back to scan it. I don't allow people to take my unlocked phone out of sight as a rule. He insisted, and so I requested to come with him, he wouldnt allow me. He was gone with it longer than he said and I was not comfortable with the whole interaction. They did a good repair on the broken phone, but I won't be using Dr. Smartphone again.

Buyer beware! If they don't fix something right- it wont ever get fixed! They fixed my screen, and actually they told me 30 minutes, it took them over an hour! When I left, I immediately hung up on a call with my face. So my phone was not recognizing my face was there. I was hanging up on people, putting them on speaker, face timing them- as I was already on a call. It was bad. I took it back in. They said they fixed it, but I still had an issue that night. I called back yet again, and made an appointment for a few days later at 10 AM. I have a 45 minute drive there, so I had to push it out a few days, when I had enough time. I got there at 10:30 and the doors were locked. I waited an hour. I kept calling them, left a message AND left a message with corporate. Its been over 24 hours and NO ONE has called me back. That is a very telling sign!! They are independently owned and operated, but I would think the franchise would have called me back to find out what happened, or if something had happened to the person working at the store. SO disappointed!!
