Husband-and-wife team Gabe and Katie Magowan split the considerable duties involved with running their ten-acre Magowan Ranch. Gabe—owner of a professional landscaping company—handles most of the maintenance work around the barns, the two arenas, and the stalls. Meanwhile, Katie dedicates her more than two decades of experience to lessons in disciplines such as gymkhana, dressage, and barrel racing. She imparts the same skills that have helped her win a wall-full of ribbons and awards over the years, including 36 first-place ribbons in 2013 alone. Committed students develop into well-rounded riders who properly handle their mounts from the ground and into the saddle, able to follow the sport as far as their dreams take them—from the trails to the winner's circle.
