About Punjabi Grill Framingham

When Azhar Malik, now owner and head chef of Punjabi Grill, sat down to create his first ever menu, the recipes of his native people were what really spoke to him. Today, those same traditional dishes, culled from Punjabi, North Indian, and Pakistani cuisine, are still the basis of unique eatery.

  • Korma biryani: available in a selection of meats, or as a vegetarian option, korma biryani combines a creamy yogurt sauce with ginger, garlic, fried onions, and spiced rice
  • Tandoori: dishes are made in a traditional clay oven found throughout the subcontinent. Because of its shape and size, the charcoal-fired ovens can evenly slow-cook meats and veggies, producing juicy chicken, tender lamb, and toothsome beef.
  • Tikka Masala: this creamy tomato-sauce-based dish can be had with tandoor-cooked cubes of white-meat chicken or flavorful lamb.

The food isn’t good quality compared to others take out restaurants and the place looks so bad. it’s not worth to drive there if you’re not really in that area.

On A Saturday there was nobody in the restaurant we sat for 15 minutes before somebody came and acknowledged us. They did not have Roti and goat meat. To order more bread and to pay my bill I have to go in the kitchen to ask for help. No heat. I would not go back there again. Their main business is catering I don’t know why they’re keeping the restaurant open? Awful service, very shorthanded.

The food, especially the Korma Biryani is to die for. I’ve been eating Biryani all my life. But never had the kind Azharbhai makes! Never too spicy, but oh so flavorful!
