About Dog Haus -Fremont

No one likes being in the doghouse, but being in a Dog Haus is a different story. The restaurant continues to expand beyond its original Southern California location based on the popularity of its gourmet sausages, which fuse German culinary tradition with Southern Californian flavors and ingredients. For instance, there's the bratwurst with mustard aioli and sauerkraut, or the cajun andouille with kung pao sauce.

The hot dogs are no slouches, either. As a rule, they come topped with high-quality ingredients, including wild arugula, roasted bell peppers, and haus chili. Craft brews flow from taps in sudsy cascades as rock music provides a soundtrack during meals.

One of our favorite dogs is Chili The Kid. Great combination of flavors. The Tots are crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. A great meal complement. Craft beers, yummy thick milkshakes, and soda selections to wash all that good food down.

Food was OK but not special. I’ve had much better chili dogs at diners and my wife’s cheeseburger was also average. Cashiers were friendly and service was prompt.

The staff at Dog Haus, Fremont was helpful and nice. The area was very clean. I ordered a corn dog, sausage and burger. The patty was a overcooked, bland, and too thin for my liking. So I don't see it being worth the price w/o groupon.
