About Mango Island
Mod, emerald-green chairs and lime-green booths line tables covered in crisp, white tablecloths inside Mango Island. Behind those seats, two walls are covered in the vivid colors and fluid brushstrokes of impressionism-inspired murals depicting mango trees. Like its setting, the restaurant's Asian food is also bold.
- Chicken curry laksa noodle: Laksa is a popular Southeast Asian spicy soup. This version combines red curry with chicken and vegetables for a flavorful way to warm up.
- Pineapple fried rice: One of diners' favorite dishes, this option blends a variety of textures and flavors with stir-fried rice, sweet pineapple, shrimp, and crunchy cashews.
- Mango chicken: Orange, green, and red are a few of the hues present in this colorful entree, featuring stir-fried chicken with mango and bell peppers in a mango shell.

Management was rude about accepting this Groupon. Didn't even say thank you when I finished paying. Save yourself some time and go elsewhere. Won't be back.

We were seated rather quickly given how busy they were. Service was good. Atmosphere was nice with uniquely-designed green chairs. Food was generally delicious, but somewhat pricey. The beef rendang was super soft and tasty; the roti prata was good, but would've liked more than the small bowl of curry dip; the satay was awesome; the char kway teow was ok, but it did not come close to how it should taste if you bought it in Singapore or Malaysia; and the Mango Island Chicken on a sizzling plate (*not sure if this was the actual name) needed a little more flavor and sauce. All-in-all not a bad experience. May give it another try, especially if they add Popiah to their menu!
