What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?

Community Overdrive features used car sales, used tire sales, repairs, and detail services. We also offer a unique program that helps people get into vehicles while giving back to the community. This voucher program allows people to earn purchase credit by either attending our weekly volunteer events or by bringing homemade potluck dishes to our free community picnic.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?

Initially, the program was created to get more people volunteering. Shortly after we began selling cars, it became apparent that many people needed help with their initial car payments. The program's fulfillment of this extreme need has resulted in the following statistics:

• $84,300 in car payment subsidies
• $406,831 in community impact from volunteer hours
• 10,000+ free meals distributed at community picnics

What do you love most about your job?

I like seeing people come together to help those in need. Recently, the amount of people donating vehicles to our program has also increased. This shows me that the community really values the program and provides confirmation that our work is meaningful.

What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?

Tears of joy. Our slogan is "Giving Moves People" and apparently its working.
