About Myth Parkour
Myth Parkour's simplest explanation for its discipline is that it's the act of moving from point A to point B as quickly and efficiently as possible. But that leaves out what's so essential about parkour as sport and art form: the athletic blend of climbing, running, and gymnastics; the fluidity of movement; the necessity of determining your own path.
The instructors here aim to communicate those elements to practitioners of all ages. It helps that most of the staff are military veterans—much of parkour's movements are grounded in obstacle-course training. They're also invested in teaching in different forms:
Classes: Traditional group classes help students progress in the sport, adding skills like vaulting, flips, and climbing, over four weeks. A level system allows students to advance to more challenging classes. One-on-one sessions, meanwhile, offer customizable coaching. And fitness classes help condition the body for parkour through calisthenics and lifting.
Camps: Especially good for kids and teens, each camp has a different theme. There are a couple that introduce youth to parkour, whereas others transform the sport into a chance to act out Star Wars, zombie-outbreak scenarios, ninja battles, or stunt choreography.
Open Gym: Enthusiasts can work on their moves throughout the week at a specially designed parkour gym.
