Park manager hates Groupons and even stated so. Beautiful park.

The man at the counter made it clear he did not welcome customers with Groupons. The experience was charming, otherwise. We wanted kayaks, and would not have gone to the state park as the prices were out of our budget. With the Groupon we were able to go kayaking in addition to visiting the ruins of the fort, which is nicely preserved. Be sure to ask for the ruins or they'll try to turn you away.

The campground is very run down. We didn't get to go out and kayak due to a lot of rain :(

Bring all the food and drinks you will need Although, there's a grocery store a few miles out of the park Also, bring your own bikes- so that you don't have to rent them Ensure you rent one the NEW cabins, because there's also old cabins!
