About Gilbert Days Rodeo
Rodeo is America's oldest extreme sport that pits man against animal. Three days of pro-rodeo performances by bonafide champion cowboy from the International Professional Rodeo Association. These events and more are all showcased at Gilbert Days, of which, traditionally, the Gilbert Days Rodeo is a three-day event. Put on by the Gilbert Promotional Corporation, which was founded in 1978 by local business and ranch owners, the series of festive events fosters a sense of community pride and family fun.

It could have been a fun event. However, It wasn't organized well. It is as if those who planned the event expected a low turnout. There was no parking so they were double parking people (this didn't work well for us because we had our 4 children with us and weren't going to make it to the end.) I hope that there is better planning in the future!

I have always loved the Gilbert Rodeo. However they need to find a permanent facility. The ranch it was held at was far too small and the seating was ridiculous. The weather made it miserable but that was out of their control. It was dissapointing that most contestants never showed up because of that. There was not much to watch. They should have given part of the entry fees back because in no way was it worth the admission. This is coming from someone who has grown up in rodeo my entire 30 years. Get it together Gilbert, this is a huge tradition amd you need to find a way to continue it the way it use to be.
