How is your approach different than that of other professionals in your field?

We source from nearly 40 family farmers and artisans within 150 miles of our food hub in Richmond, VA. We focus on delivering our customers local, fresh, and delicious food - dirt to doorstep. Members are able to customize their weekly orders to best suit their needs, which reduces waste and increases joy (two things we're passionate about.)

When and how did you first develop a passion for your work?

Seasonal Roots was founded in 2010 to reconnect the local community to its local farmers. Currently in our 8th delivery season, we still strive to offer consistent, year-round, support to local farmers. We love making fresh and healthy food available in a way that's convenient for families of all sizes.

After purchasing from Groupon I tried to log on but they were not accepting new customers. Eventually I was able to. I am now looking forward to getting my first box

Produce often went rotten within a few days. Not much selection. I once ordered yogurt, but they ran out and gave me kale instead.

We are a small, local business with a large surge of customers in this current unfortunate environment. The yogurt mentioned is a small single serving portion and we provide the best substitution we can that is available from our farmers and artisans at that time. We have a robust replacement system when something goes awry. Sorry you had a bad experience.

Not worth the price—received produce that was going bad after a couple days.

Seasonal Roots has their farmers pick on Monday and we deliver Wednesday and Thursday. Unfortunately, with produce being the most fragile food available, things happen. We have a robust replacement system when something goes awry. Sorry you had a bad experience.
