Sweet Ali's, Glenview

In 2007, Ali's life changed when she and her son were both diagnosed with Celiac Disease, a genetic autoimmune disease that's triggered by gluten. Instead of dwelling on all the gluten-rich foods she could no longer consume, Ali decided to pursue her passion for baking. She crafted gluten-free goodies from scratch.

Two years after her diagnosis, she opened Sweet Ali's as a haven for those with a gluten intolerance. The bakery is dedicated to serving gluten-free treats, whether they be sweet or savory. Such treats include cookies and brownies as well as pizza and quiche. In addition to gluten-free products, Sweet Ali's also offers dairy-free, vegan and other allergen-free options.
