The Little Gym of Glenview, Glenview

We had never participated in anything like this with our daughter, but they were very friendly and brought her out of her shell quickly. Not only was it fun, but the classes are structured so the child learns colors, numbers, personal identity and to respond to the instructor promptly. We look forward to going back.

The Groupon led me to try it. It's a little far for us, but David likes it. We may sign up for an additional month that we would not have, but for the Groupon, so probably a good marketing decision. I may try it eventually for my daughter as well.

The biggest problem with The Little Gym (and there are several) is that there is ZERO flexibility. For example, we got a Groupon for four classes. The problem is that you have to do four classes on CONSECUTIVE Saturdays. Well, that's not always possible -- and usually is not. Such is the case next Saturday (which would be our second class). So we're SOL, and will miss 25% of our classes with no chance to make it up. That alone makes me never want to sign up again. Plus the fact that our daughter's first class was spent idling around because the instructor paid her no special attention, even though it was her first class.

We love how our son is becoming increasingly interested in gymnastics as a result of his class. Thank you, Little Gym and Groupon, for making it available to us.
