The quality, care, professionalism, and ease of use are all great! The turn-around is slow, but for the purpose of preserving old photos and videos timeliness doesn't matter to me.

This company is expensive compared to others. True. I sent in 3 tapes for conversion and 2 were returned as BLANK. No do-overs, no refund, no nothing. I paid a bunch to Groupon, plus shipping both ways for 1 tape conversion. Coincidentally, a manager or owner there emailed me to see how my experience was. I was honest. He emailed me back and forth that he was sorry and that I could send in 2 more tapes for conversion since the others were blank. He assured me several times that someone would contact me. They never did. I would not use them for anything in the future. No matter what Groupon price it was. There are better places. Even Costco would be cheaper!!

They were very helpful and patient with my questions. The final transfers from VHS to DVD were wonderful. Great experience.

From Our Editors

The celluloid specialists at ScanDigital have processed more than 15 million images since 2007, turning nondigital items such as grainy photos, dented VHS tapes, 35mm, APS negatives, and 35mm slides into dependable digital files that fill the future with images of a warm and wonderful past. To start a safe, digital archive so home videos of first-grade choir solos don't turn into terrifying, chipmunk-attracting warbles, customers go online to fill out a form that generates a shipping label, and then mail their prized materials. Once parcels are received, staffers liberate the images and footage of dust and blemishes, scan them in, then adjust the orientation and color balance of the newly hatched digital files.

After four or more weeks, depending on the order, customers get back the original copies along with their new, high-quality clones on DVD, ensuring that significant moments aren't stained and faded by Father Time’s clumsy coffee spills.
