Distinctive Music Studios maintains a strong commitment to providing quality music instruction. We work with students of all levels, beginning to advanced, and our studio is conveniently located. Thanks to our encouraging and skilled teachers who collectively hold over 33 degrees in music, our students have received numerous national awards and high scores in music testing. Our primary goal is to develop each student's love for music by investing ourselves in their learning!

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?

Distinctive Music Studios was founded out of a desire to teaching and share music with others. Our teachers love what they do and it shows! From their first lesson at DMS, students realize the high skill level of their instructors and sense their genuine desire for helping their students succeed. We encourage students to scheduling a meeting with our teachers and experience that difference for themselves!

What do you love most about your job?

The “light-bulb” moments are most exciting—those times where a student suddenly understands a musical concept along with the new-found confidence that they can achieve a higher level of playing! Success breeds more success and as students begin to progress quickly, they realize what they’re capable of and aim even higher. We enjoy seeing that process take place!

What is the best reaction you’ve ever gotten from a customer?

"Music lessons are not only for children! I took piano lessons as a child and have always regretted my decision to stop taking lessons. As a new retiree, I was not sure I really had the courage to start all over with piano lesson, but now that I have actually taken lessons from DMS, I am THRILLED!
