The Owner

Beatriz Hernandez, a.k.a. Mrs. Betty, a Puerto Rican woman who came to America with two bags: one full of clothes and one full of nail products. She worked factory jobs and performed at-home mani-pedis on the side, saving up her money to purchase her first nail salon.

What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition? All services are performed by students in training and under the supervision of a licensed instructor. We offer the highest standards of sanitation and disinfection because teaching our students the proper way of doing it is the key to their success

What was the inspiration to start or run this business? My everyday inspiration is to see my students learn new procedures and see them getting better and better every time they do a new client.

What do you love most about your job? What I love the most is the accomplishment I feel when I see how this career changes my students’ lives forever.

What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer? When they are really happy with the service they received by a student, when usually they go to a very expensive salon to get a service from a professional, and they are not happy with what they get there.
