Locally sourced and organic ingredients make up Primo Italian American Cuisine’s menu. Creating a marriage of a classic American steakhouse and a signature Italian restaurant, the atmosphere is rivaled only by the menu, both of which come highly recommended by The Daily Herald, with Primo winning 2016 Reader's Choice awards for "Best Steakhouse," "Best Italian Restaurant," "Best Place to Dance/Live Music," "Best Romantic Restaurant," and "Best Martini," among others. The menu is composed of both Prime and Grass Fed steaks, chops, and classic Italian dishes, but what truly brings the dishes to life is Primo’s co-owner, celebrity chef Richard Mancini. Prior to opening the restaurant, the chef won the first season of Food Network's "Chef Wanted," and has worked with high-profile names including The Rolling Stones. At Primo, he offers a menu of classic and modern Italian fare from various regions with an emphasis on sustainability. Rib-eye steaks, for example, are sourced from Good Earth Farms and finished in cinnamon butter, whereas traditional pasta dishes, such as towering lasagna and roasted-chicken alfredo, are made with organic pasta. To complement the Italian-American cuisine, Primo offers an extensive wine list featuring roughly 100 bottles.
