Most everyone agrees that art is a great way for kids to develop their creativity. But why should the kids have all the fun? At Green Art Studio, kids unleash their imaginations at weekend art classes and after-school programs, while grownups can sign up for Mommy & Me classes and BYOB painting nights.
Founder Diana Egocheaga has just as much a handle on children's academic development as she does on their artistic aptitude. Born in Peru, she can work with kids in either English or Spanish, and she's experienced in tutoring students with learning difficulties such as ADHD or autism-spectrum conditions. During after-school programs, art is offered as a reward—students need to complete their homework and do some reading before they break out the glitter or start building a sculpture symbolizing the oppressive nature of nap time.
