Grace Heritage Ranch, Lyford

Founded by Brian and Mary Schalk as a means of creating a self-sustaining homestead, Grace Heritage Ranch teems with the energy, joy, and simplicity of a working family ranch. The family hosts school field trips from February through May and again in the fall. They also offer a spring seasonal event where you can experience the ranch at night with campfires and a movie. Want a private tour? They offer that too! The ranch is also home to heritage breeds of animals, including American Milking Devon cattle, Nigerian Dwarf goats, Jacob sheep, Bourbon Red turkeys, Australorp chickens, donkeys, and more.

On Saturdays starting September 28th though October 26th guests can join them for family fun on hayrides, in a pumpkin patch, playing with the apple slingshot, climbing the hay bale pyramids, enjoying food, listening to live music, and more. There is also a self-guided tour of their homestead ranch where guests can see and feed the wonderful heritage breed animals. The Autumn Adventure is a weekend festival celebrating the ways in which life on the ranch are better than trying to grow corn on a city rooftop.
