Founded by Brian and Mary Schalk as a means of creating a self-sustaining homestead, Grace Heritage Ranch teems with the energy, joy, and simplicity of a working family ranch. During most of the year, the family hosts private and public tours of the ranch. Here guests can see their gardens of heirloom varieties of fruits and vegetables that thrive in their no-till soil. The ranch is also home to heritage breeds of animals, including Embden geese, Nigerian Dwarf goats, and Jacob sheep.
On weekends from October 22nd though December 3rd guests can join them for family fun on hayrides, in a pumpkin patch, playing with the apple slingshot, pumpkin bowling, climbing the hay bale pyramids, and more. There is also a self-guided tour of their homestead ranch where guests can see and feed the wonderful heritage breed animals such as cattle, donkeys, sheep, goats, chickens, turkeys, geese, and alpacas. The Autumn Adventure is a weekend festival celebrating the ways in which life on the ranch are better than trying to grow corn on a city rooftop.
