Not really a tip. I just love this place. It is very chill and I am always happy with the food and the service. I have brought my wife here, work visitors, and my kids, and all of them have been delighted to eat here.

It's all good. Tonight I had the lamb vindaloo. I like spicy foods; it qualified.

Undoubtedly great food but little bit pricey comparing the other restaurants in town. Recommend to everyone.

The food is good, but at least 1.5x the price it should be. The kabob sampler appetizer sampler was priced at $9, but it was almost the same size as the $6 appetizers. It was somewhat shocking to see a (surprisingly small) entrée priced at $15 when it should have been $7-$12. Although it is very obvious that many curries and entrées use a similar base, the food was definitely pretty good (coming from an Indian). The service was decent, but it was occasionally hard to find them to order more puri or naan or get our water/drinks refilled. I don't know if drinks are served here at all as the waiter did not mention any drinks (alcoholic or otherwise) nor were handed a drink menu. If sodas, juice, or other beverages were available, the waiter should have pointed them out on the menu. The atmosphere was nice (if a bit cliché). Overall, it was a fairly good experience. If they made some fairly simple changes they could be one of the top Indian restaurants of the Washington, D.C. metropolitan/Northern Virginia area. I've eaten at pretty most of the Indian restaurant in the Northern Virginia. Most of them suffer (even the best) suffer from overpriced food that fails to distinguish itself from other dishes on the menu, overly large menus with unsubstantial flavor text/descriptions, and average service. Fixing even one of those issues could put Indian restaurants on the same level as other luxury restaurants in the Washington, D.C. area.

From Our Editors

A charcoal clay oven roars to life every morning in Angeethi’s kitchen in preparation for a day full of roasting meats and vegetables and baking fresh breads including roti and naan. The authentic tandoor prepares a menu rich in traditional flavors derived from spices imported from all over India. A dash of pure saffron, wild black cardamom, and cinnamon enhances platters of long-grain basmati rice, a standard side dish that enhances lamb, seafood, chicken, and vegetarian dishes alike. Waiters shuttle chosen plates out to a regal dining room full of carved, throne-like dining chairs, gilded statues of deities, and napkins fancifully folded into fork-size saris.
