Master Yu's Power Kick, Highland Park

With more than 40 years of martial-arts experience behind him, Grand Master Yu has claimed a long list of accomplishments—among these are a position as a US Army instructor, a seventh-degree black belt in tae kwon do, and a fourth-degree black belt in hapkido. As the head instructor at Master Yu's Power Kick, he leads a team of black-belt-level martial-arts masters and instructors with similarly impressive credentials. These coaches train children as young as 2, as well as adults, in the basic strikes and movements of cardio kickboxing, Muay Thai boxing, and MMA. Throughout all its programs, the gym helps students improve their coordination and flexibility while setting ambitious, yet attainable, fitness goals. Experienced students can also enroll in a leadership training program.
