About Kids Robotech Club

Playing with Legos is a classic pastime, but at Kids Robotech Club, Legos do more than pass time: they help kids build skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. During year-round classes, students learn about gear ratios, locomotion, and energy as they assemble robots using Lego Mindstorms products. Other classes include Minecraft, stop-motion animation, and programming. Students can also take game design and learn to create their own maze, platform, and racing video games.

Son attended the drone camp. The drones worked approximately 15% of the time. The kids mainly played on their own phones. I considered it a waste of our time, effort and money.

I was disappointed with Robotech Club. The class instructors (at least in Lewisville) were either high school or college students. There was a lot of confusion on day one since many of the people who came didn't register with the Club itself (just had a Groupon) and the "instructors" didn't know how to handle it. I complained to the owner who immediately contacted me and offered me a full refund and apologized. I appreciated his quick reply and customer service but for the money, I could have just bought my grandson the robot kit and he could play it on his own. He had to read the instructions and build it all on his own during the class, anyways.

My son didn't enjoy. We didn't finish the week. It was being run by teenage boys.
