Beautiful sunrise but so cold. We came from Canada but the chilly weather up on top of Haleakala with humidity even with 5 degrees Celsius was killing us. Definitely wear more than you had in Canada under 5 degrees Celsius. Layer after layer is a must. It will be helpful to have a blanket with wind protection function

Preston was our guide and he knew his business about the island history and culture. He was very nice and has such a great personality. The tour bus was super comfortable and the breakfast gathering had a warm traditional feel as we got to know the other tourists over fresh Hawaiian coffee.
