About Havana Cafe and Lounge

Though Hoboken is over 1,300 miles away from sunny Cuba, Havana Cafe and Lounge brings a taste of tropical cuisine and atmosphere to the shores of the Hudson. Walk in for a relaxing drink or dinner for two, and you'll find an elegant yet approachable environment of fragrant floral arrangements, a warm fireplace built flush into the wall, and a playful map of Cuba stylized in the shape of a leaping marlin. Meals of tender steaks, cuban sandwiches, stuffed tostones, empanadas, and blackened salmon with yuca frita are paired perfectly with colorful cocktails and mojitos garnished with fresh mint and sugarcane. After dark, the Caribbean café turns into a lively nightlife spot, with live DJs, karaoke sing-offs, and plenty of salsa dancing.

There was a change in ownership so I didn't get to use my Groupon but the food and experience was good

I was told by the merchant that they aren't taking Groupons anymore because their is new management and that they contacted Groupon to notify customers who purchased a Groupon to credit their $ back. I emailed Groupon last week and havent received a response yet. Very disappointed

Please do not buy a GROUPON for this restaurant. I went there and after ordering my drinks, I was told that they do not accept GROUPON since they are under new management and that I need to call GROUPON for a refund. I pay over 80 dollars for a meal for two and the food was not good. The ropa vieja was salty and it look more like a beef stew. The vaca frita was dry. For that amount of money you definitely can go to a real Cuban restaurant that will not give false advertisement. Be careful

Service was a little slow the night that I went, but the food was good.
