The Daniel Dhers Action Sports Complex, Holly Springs

In 2005, Daniel Dhers was pedaling away in seeming obscurity. In 2006, he was challenging some of the top BMX riders in the world. He went on to take home five X-Games gold medals and four Dew Tour Championships, but instead of hanging up his rear derailleur and resting on his laurels, he opened The Daniel Dhers Action Sports Complex.

There, he and his team spread the good word of extreme BMX riding in a massive 37,000 square foot arena. Folks can learn the ropes—or chains—during private or group lessons. Of course, seasoned riders can unleash their energy in the 17,500 square foot indoor park, complete with a street plaza, box jumps, and a foam pit where the nearly fearless can try out new stunts. Outdoor enthusiasts can hit the 17,000 square foot open-air park that includes a mountain bike park, resi ramps, and even teeter-totters.
