The waitress was very helpful. She asked if it was my first time (which it was) and went over the menu and gave me some tips. The head chef also came over to my table and asked how I liked everything. I told him the burger was one of the best I had ever had.

The food was great, I wish the service was as great as the food. We were never greeted upon are arrival once we sat down. People came in after us and were greeted and received water (mind you we had been sitting down for 10 minutes). It took about 20 minutes before someone came over and got us water. We also ordered beers which took a lifetime to get to our table -- there was only about 6 people (not counting the bar patrons who were being served) and the way service was you would have thought it was Rush Hour Lunchtime!! One thing that seriously had my stomach turn was watching the waitress run her fingers through her hair before she served people. Maybe on another day, the service would have been great but that was not the case when we went. Beware if you go that the service may or may not be great, but the food is great.

The staff was very friendly and the food was great. It was a relaxed atmosphere. I only went to pick up the food, but I'd definitely got there with some friends for good food and a chill vibe.

From Our Editors

Colin Fukunaga and Robert "Mags" Magsalin came up with the idea of creating the FukuBurger truck while working at Tao, a high-end Asian restaurant in Las Vegas. The pair's successful combination of gourmet Angus beef, turkey, chicken, and vegan patties with Japanese-influenced toppings—including wasabi mayo, teriyaki sauce, and red ginger—led to the establishment of FukuBurger's permanent location in Los Angeles and an applauding article from Caroline on Crack. In addition to hosting innovative cuisine, FukuBurger whets whistles and inspires chopstick duels with Japanese lagers, sake bombs, and beer-based Fuku Bombs until close at 4 a.m.

Hanging light pendants enliven modern barstools with red tints while chalkboards list the day's draft selections. A mural of a Japanese woman reaching for a burger adds to the bar's casual ambiance and acts as a siren that causes patrons to crash into the brick wall.
