Fun ride.

You should not be selling the services of Searide Watersports. They are very unprofessional and not reputable. I have registered a complaint directly with them. The boat that they rented to us was not safe - the reverse gear did not work, there was no anchor on board the boat and the boat itself was very hard to control. Two men were driving the boat and both have had a lot of previous boating experience. They require a $250 gas deposit and after I wrote to them about my concerns with their boat, they wrote back that we had damaged the boat and were not refunding the deposit less gas and taxes. They sent us photos showing damage to the boat and claiming we had done the damage. And they wanted an additional $179 for the supposed damage. When we returned the boat noone at SeaRide noted any damage. Only when we complained about their service did they come up with the story about damages. I will call Groupon and give you more details. Truthfully I am surprised that Groupon does not do background checks on their vendors. SeaRide has complaints against them at the Better Business Bureau and they have the lowest rating with them.

Upon calling them to arrange my boat I was asked for a credit card with a 250 value to cover gas and any damage. This is fine as a rule but they run their company just over the phone, no office no direct contact other then the person "dropping" the boat off for me to use. Also when I said I'd rather use cash they said they'd now need 350 instead of 250 on my credit card making me wonder just how much would actually be put on my credit card in the end. I was also informed, last minute, that booking on a Saturday would now cost me 100 more then my original 145 groupon. I am totally dissapointed in trying to deal with this company and will be calling groupon to complain.
