Kettle bells swing, tires flip, and punching bags send back witty retorts in the American Tactical Fitness gym. The owner and head coach here is Luis Rodriguez, a retired police detective who has earned a slew of commendations and awards in his career. Rodriguez designs the workouts at American Tactical Fitness, incorporating cross training and kickboxing exercises as well as functional movements such as pushing, pulling, and lifting. All workouts are scalable, so they're appropriate for clients of all skill and fitness levels, plus they're short. Each one is only 45 minutes long—"because we understand you have a family, career, and job to get to."
