Use bathroom prior to boarding, head on boat is tight but quite functional. Bring your own snacks and beverages. Crew is awesome, fun, helpful and entertaining, great tour. Earlier in season should be better, although we did see some whales. Crew was very helpful for my dad who has a challenge in getting around.

Be sure to understand what you are getting, and need to take. Motion sickness, drinks, etc. Captain Matt? (I think think) and Maxine were the best in fulfilling our needs and friendly. Had a great experience, and they really were good to us.

No tips, just very pleased with the staff, and the experience. I'm considering them for a diving lesson.

From Our Editors

Though he earned a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of California San Diego, Matt Zimmerman decided to pursue his love of the ocean instead of science and move to Oahu. He founded Island Divers Hawaii there as a way to share his enthusiasm for scuba diving as well as the discoveries it can share, from intricate coral to schools of fish locked in a never-ending struggle for tenure. Zimmerman and his knowledgeable staff teach dive courses for curious students and lead boat charters that give divers the chance to test their new skills in pristine waters.
