Very nice, helpful staff & your glasses are ready in less than an hour!!

Not thrilled with Total Eyecare. Staff and doctors were polite and professional but I did not feel as if my concerns were being heard. I was told I needed bifocals yet I am not exhibiting any of the behaviors they cited as proof of this. For example, I was told I must notice having to hold reading material further from my face in order to read it and this is not the case; I read 2 books a week and do not have any trouble, so I don't see how I can possibly need readers on top of my prescription for distance. But whatever, they're the doctors, right? I was also prescribed a different brand of contacts than I normally use. I have very bad astigmatism in both eyes, yet I was told I didn't need contacts for astigmatism, despite wearing those for 10 years. Seems rather questionable to me, especially given that I have had a history of eye surgeries and other eye problems my entire life. You'd think they'd listen more to the patient and take the patient's history into consideration, but they didn't. I was prescribed what they felt was best, despite informing them I was quite happy with and comfortable in my old contact lenses. Next time, I'll see an ophthalmologist, and one that also doesn't push glasses in the office. As far as using the Groupon was concerned, they were very helpful and processed my order without a problem.
