Durbin & Greenbrier Valley Railroad has all-year adventures for every taste. They take patrons on 2–8-hour long train rides along scenic routes winding in picturesque mountains of West Virginia. In autumn, participants can admire vibrant reds and oranges of fall foliage, while in summer they can feast their eyes on rich hues of forest green and sights of dramatic canyons. But the views aren't the only attraction, select tours feature also meal options. The trains themselves are an adventure. Some of them feature vintage steam locomotives, while others sport modern amenities such as climate control. The legendary C-80 Shay has been continuously in service for almost 100 years. It is one of the oldest engines to be in operation for so long and one of the second oldest Shay in the world. Durbin & Greenbrier Valley is home to other trains as well: five more Shays, a Heisler, and a Climax.
