In the heart of downtown Houston, the chefs at Alexander the Great use fresh ingredients and spices to create dishes inspired by traditional Mediterranean and Greek cuisine. Glasses filled with offerings from an extensive wine list sing together in toasts above braised lamb shank and moussaka. Some evenings, a live Greek band coaxes a belly dancer out onto the dance floor, where she twirls and undulates like a graceful swan trying to remove a “kick me” sign.
