The Burger Barn - Manvel, Tomball

At The Burger Barn, a burger is more than a sandwich: it's a canvas for the chefs to explore their creativity. That means no ingredient is off the table. Pico de gallo and avocado top the Fiesta burger; nacho cheese and pickles are slathered over the aptly named Nacho Cheese burger; and teriyaki sauce and grilled pineapple decorate the Chicken Teriyaki burger. But the main event is the Monster burger. Towering over the plate, a stack of beef patties totaling 4 pounds is layered with American cheese, avocado, and bacon along with the typical burger fixings.

Diners who aren't interested in a burger can appeal to the lower portion of the menu, where other hearty entrees reside. Choose from dishes such as chicken-fried steak, Tuscan grilled chicken, and fried or grilled fish. On the side, fries, onion rings, and other usual suspects are available, but the baked potatoes match the burgers in terms of creativity. Toppings include brisket, broccoli and cheddar, and chili and Fritos.
