The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. You do need to walk outside to get from building to building in bad weather so dress appropriately. The kids in our group had a great time during what turned out to be a private show and tour. They even let us feed their goats and pigs when we arrived!

The people there are awesome and you get a lot of explanations of the animals (which they have plenty of!)

Cute place for small kids. If you are going in the winter/Spring, I would wear rain boots or some sort of foot wear that can get muddy. to get to some animals, you have to walk through some mud.

Animal Adventures was amazing! Beautiful animals and friendly, knowledgeable staff made it one of the best activities we've done as a family in years. We will definitely visit them again!

The dancing antics of Lu Lu warmed or hearts, the coolest porcupine ever. The staff has fascinating relationships with the animals and it is extremely evident that they are wonderfully cared for.

The pathways should be sanded as it was extremely icy and I am a senior citizen and was worried about falling. The animals were so well cared for and it was very clean for them.

From Our Editors

A haven for exotic animals rescued from neglect or abandonment, Animal Adventures lets visitors interact with its furry and scaly refugees, teaching them firsthand to appreciate and respect the earth's diverse wildlife. Working with a rotating cast of mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and marsupials, animal experts regale audiences with facts and the backstories of each animal, such as how they were rescued and which cartoon representative of their species best captures their regional accent. Though its denizens regularly find new homes, Animal Adventures's altruistic menagerie has included a massive alligator snapping turtle, a canadian lynx, and an asian water monitor. The sanctuary also offers day camps for youngsters looking to get closer with the animals, and an animal-adoption program for adults looking to support the cause by taking a critter home and putting it through college.
