The axe throwing with the frist guy was horrible !! My son with with his friends and said the guy hit it on the concrete and a piece of the concrete came up and hit him in the face. Then I went with my younger kids and he threw it in a metal pan nex

It's open through the month of October but saving our curiosity for Halloween was perfect! We had a blast and got quite a few good scares. Recommend it for sure!! Nightmare on 1960 is a must do!

The website does not give enough information in regards to how many people can enter the attraction at once. We had a group of 6 with us and found out when we were being let into the attraction only 5 people could enter at once. We thought there was a hay ride but that was not being added until next year. I was just happy I purchased my ticket at Groupon pricing. Great set-up but the attraction could be developed more.

the line took long. the staff was not interactive. the fright staff consisted of mainly children in costume which was not scary at all. would not recommend this place at all. not worth the money or the drive.

From Our Editors

There is a lonely old farmhouse sitting off the road on Highway 1960, and if you ask locals about it, they'll tell you it's haunted. The story usually goes like this: fifteen years ago, a few boys from Humble, Texas went to the empty house to poke around for fun, but were scared away by the specter of a glowing green light that moved through the bedrooms, then came out to meet them in front of the house. Later, the house was bought and its owner started hearing loud bangs in the night, periodically finding his chairs overturned and pantry items strewn across the floor. Unafraid of the spooks, he not only stayed, but now opens the house to the public around Halloween. As Nightmare on 1960, it entreats visitors to explore its creepy haunted maze and other attractions. If you survive, you can take a hay ride or challenge the ghost to a game of ring toss at the onsite carnival.
