Kari Michaud believes that in a perfect world nobody would be stressed and nobody would be in pain. And to help take the world one step closer to that reality, she founded The Beach House Spa. Here, the graduate of the Baltimore School of Massage uses modalities that range from Swedish to aromatherapy massage as she targets acute pain and chronic conditions such as fibromyalgia. She also administers customized facials, designed for any skin type to provide optimal results, rejuvenating and restoring skin.

I've had a good experience the first time which made me want to come back.. BIG MISTAKE..I got stuck with a newbie I guess you could say. I wasn't offered any water or anything after the sauna. I felt like it was rushed and she didn't actually give me a massage more like pushing on my shoulder blades the entire time.. the stones were cold. And I couldn't relax cause I had to keep telling her the pressure was too much. She basically dug her nail into my back. I had to ask her if she was going to rub my whole body seeing as though I paid for a whole body with hot stone massage. She forgot about the stones I had to ask about them. She rubbed the rest of my body parts for 3 min each...I felt Almost as if she didn't want to touch me.. that's literally your job..I left more tense then I came and money waisted. This experience was the worst. That's all I talked about was the beach house and the newbie definitely stripped those bragging rights..I'm embarrassed to recommend the place now. Not tryna bash the girl who did me cause I guess u gotta learn somewhere but not for that kind of money..

The massager was pretty good but the front desk receptionist was unprofessional and very rude! She was a blonde girl, worked on Saturday morning. I'll never recommend you to deal with her. More stress after visiting this place.
1. Arrived 5 mins early to fill out the initial form. She didn't say a word to me, instead, shut the entrance door on me after poking her head out to the lobby. I found the log-in paper and other forms in the lobby by myself and filled them out. Later, she opened the door with my massager and then said to my massager, "Did you say hi to her? you need to welcome your customer!" Well....how about you?
2. After the massage session, I told her that I have another Groupon from my friend who gave me as a gift for this place so I'd like to make the next appointment. She started to have this rude tone again and said, "We accept only ONE Groupon per customer. You can't ask your friends to buy you more Groupon!" Excuse me? I never asked my friends to buy me more Groupons. That was very rude. She kept going on and said she would "allow" me the one-time exception. She treated me like I am trying to use my friends to get benefits. How dear you... Also, Groupon website said, I can purchase this Groupon up to 3 so her statement is not correct.
3. When I tried to leave, she said with an attitude again, "By the way, you must leave tips to our massager before you go!" I told her I already tipped her in the room so you don't have to require me again.
I got so stressed out after having a conversation with her. This place must offer professional and caring service to customers with a pleasant experience from the beginning to the end. I'm not sure if she is the owner or just staff but she was disrespectful and unpleasant to the customer and the place needs to traine their staff better.

We are very sorry that you feel stressed. we do our best to ensure each client feels relaxed. We have been providing relaxation for over 7 years now and always look for ways to improve. When you came in we were training new staff and we want to ensure each person greets our guest. I can also assure you that while tips are appreciated they are not required. I also again apologize for any miscommunication between Groupon and us, we only accept one voucher per person and I will have this updated with Groupon. we noticed you have been in with several Groupons and we meant no offense to you. wWw are glad you enjoyed your 3 appointments and we hope to see you again one day.

The therapist was very professional.The atmosphere was very intimate, there was not a lot of people running in and out. A very quiet and relaxing place. At the end of the session, the therapist made suggestions on some stretching techniques. I will return again!
