About Fountain Square Clay Center

Fountain Square Clay Center has turned the ordinary into the extraordinary. The pottery studio operates out of an old industrial building that used to make car parts and packing peanuts. Now, it helps people express their creativity through clay. Classes teach students how to form clay pots and vases through every step of the process, from molding to trimming and glazing. You can learn the basics in a one-night course or use 25 pounds of clay to build your own sentient ceramic army during seven-week courses.

My family and I had a great time! First time for my daughter and the instructor made it easy for her to be able to make something worth firing and taking home. We will definitely be back!!

Had a lot of fun making our own clay creations. The instructor was incredibly knowledgeable. Looking forward to taking more classes here.

Overall the class was really nice and fun. The teacher took time for everyone and helped people actually create pottery. I took away a star because the class felt rushed, especially towards the end when the teacher would literally tell us to hurry up so we could start cleaning. I understand pottery is messy, I understand wanting the participants to clean up if they were crazy messy, however I didn't pay for a class to clean for the last 35 minutes of the time I paid for. I think the teachers should understand people paid for that time for a class, not to clean.
