We called to schedule a repair appointment on 12/20. They scheduled a time for 12/23 at 9:00 am. When we arrived to the mall kiosk, there was no one there, just a number to call. We called the number and were told that the vendor did not have anyone down for 9:00 am, but that he'd be there shortly. When he arrived, he told us that he had not received his shipment of iPhone screens, so he was unable to repair the phone. He took our name and number and promised to call as soon as they came in. I called on 12/26 to see if he had received them, and left a voicemail, but got no call back. On 1/3 I went to the Mall Kiosk to see if maybe they did have the screens, and lo and behold they had "just arrived that morning." (It was 3:00 pm--no call). He successfully repaired the phone, but then did some odd rearranging to charge us. He said the cost was $120, but he was taking $20 off our bill for our trouble, that left a balance of $64.20. That didn't completely make sense to me, but ok. He charged my credit card $64.20, and then scanned my Groupon, which was for $60. When I asked he brushed it off as if I was getting a deal. If my Groupon was really worth $60, I paid the full price of $120 for the repair. Since I only actually paid $30 for the Groupon, I am only $90 out of pocket for the repair, but it felt like I was being scammed in there somewhere. If the full price of the repair was $120, and he took off $20, that should have made my balance $100. Then, with the Groupon, I should have owed $40.
Whatever--the phone is fixed, which was the goal, but I definitely would not recommend him to others, and I will not go back.
