Owner and acupuncturist Dan Yun began his healing journey studying Western medicine until he met his mother-in-law, Dr. Wang Rim Lee, a well-known South Korean doctor whose Western practice was enhanced by Chinese treatments such as acupuncture and colon hydrotherapy. An inspired Yun began studying Chinese medicine, and he opened D-A-N Wellness Clinic in 2010 to share his knowledge with others. D-A-N Wellness Clinic focuses on three wellness areas: detox, anti-aging, and natural healing.

Due to his multifaceted training, Yun has the unique ability to describe the workings of Chinese medicine using Western terminology. After explaining that chi is the electromagnetic force that runs through every atom, he uses acupuncture to remove roadblocks and traffic cones in the chi pathways and restore balance to the body as a whole. According to Yun, acupuncture can treat almost any condition and is especially effective for pain management, enabling many patients to live free of medication for the first time.

The clinic also offers colon hydrotherapy, often in tandem with acupuncture. Yun says the unwell body is like an infected computer: Acupuncture acts as antivirus software, preventing the resurgence of infection, after colon hydrotherapy flushes out harmful substances before they can steal the client’s contact list. Patients often feel reenergized after treatments due to the removal of toxins and dose of hydration.
